After teaching in an East London secondary school for seven years,
I moved to South America to work. For eight
months, I lived in Mérida, Venezuela, teaching English to children
from three to ten years old, using this period to learn Spanish.
I have climbed mountains of 5000m with ropes and ice-picks, enjoyed love the Latin way, and felt the 'real' affects of changes in inflation on every day life.
In April 2009, I moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina, to fronting new challenges and to build yet another life from
scratch.
Today, I am the Assistant Director of a non-profit organisation called South American Explorers based in BA, part-time teacher; and, chief editor of a new monthly, bilingual publication called "El Desconocido," distributed throughout the city.
I look forward to sharing my experience of life in South and Central America, particulary Buenos Aires with you all.
So, if you are thinking about travel to South or Central America, or thinking about
making a new life - changing home, career, lifestyle and more - but
nervous about doing it, read my posts here on Ola's World. Hopefully, I can give you some insights to make your trip enjoyable and allay any fears.
Make use of what I have learned to make your travel dreams come true.
